Client: Morton Arboretum
The Problem: The Morton Arboretum had difficulty updating their online sales presence within a limited budget. An old and archaic shopping cart system was found, and no one on their staff knew how it functioned.
Commando Approach: XNet used an open source e-commerce engine to complement the existing system. XNet trained the Morton Arboretum staff on keeping the new system up to date, as well as working with the older system.
Final Outcome: The Morton Arboretum was able to continue their online sales presence within budget.
Client: Top Secret
The Problem: A labor union's ATM machines for credit union members didn't comply with the strict banking security rules in place for conducting financial transactions over the Internet, and risked being disconnected from the financial network. Their technical teams lacked the expertise to determine the problem, and members of the their technical staff weren't sharing the right information to complete the task.
Commando Approach: We facilitated technical staff meetings to solve the ATM problem. Our team leader used his knowledge to identify and surface the information that needed to be shared to get the job done.
Final Outcome: Once the knowledge was shared, the union's existing technical staff easily solved the problem. The ATM machine remained connected to the web, and the credit union members experienced no service interruptions.
